In order to provide you a better on-line experience the Pikes Peak Council and the High Plains District have combined resources, and a new/improved website is in the works. As a result of these sweeping changes the High Plains Website will no longer exist in its current form on, or about, January 15, 2009. All HP user accounts will be deleted and many of the current features of our site,such as the RSS feed and electronic newsletter,will no longer work. We realize that this may cause some inconvenience, but feel the changes will be well worth it, and we will keep you updated as changes occur.

Hello Scouters! January RT will be Thursday January 8th, 7:00pm, Falcon Middle School. (The building was closed on the 1st for New Year's Day). Topics will include: Klondike and Webelos Winter Adventure Trail, and Blue & Gold. Hope to see you there! Happy New Year

 We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with the establishing and conducting an Outdoor Skills Training session on October 16-18, 2009. Volunteers are needed for the following:
Steering Committee
Event Coordinator
Session Directors
* Introduction To Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS - Boy Scout Leaders)
* Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills (OWL - Webelos Leaders)
* Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO - Cub Scout Leaders)
Training Staff for all sessions

 There was a request at the last Falcon Roundtable to post the District Pinewood Derby rules. I am pleased to announce those rules are now posted in the files area of this site. Be advised that these are last years rules, however, no significant changes are expected for this years derby. |
